Draft Rules

 Welcome to Kickball365's DRAFT League.

Sign up as a Free Agent and get drafted onto a team full of Friends and Foes.  It's time to mix things up, shuffle the deck and see who makes the biggest impact on their DRAFTED team. 

  • Everyone who wishes to participate in the draft will sign up as an individual through the KICKBALL365 (Southeast Atlanta) REGISTRATION SITE.
  • The league director will be selecting captains from available Volunteers.
    • NOTE: To be eligible to captain a team, you must be available to attend the Draft Party (June 9th).
  • The deadline for registration for players who wish to participate in the draft is June 8th. 
     
  • On June 9th, the League Director will take the total number of players who signed up and determine how many teams the draft league will be able to support. The numbers may vary, but we expect that each draft team will have rosters between 12-13 players. 
     
  • Team names will be chosen by the Team Captain prior to the draft and team colors will be assigned by Kickball365 (although we'll try accommodate special requests)
  • On June 9th, Kickball365- Southeast Atlanta will host a meet n greet / draft party (Location: TBD). The captains will take turns selecting their teams from the available player pool. 
    • The draft order will be determined by the League Director by evaluating each Captains talent level and slotting accordingly.
    • Each Captain will 'Draft' themselves in a Round determined by the League Director based on Skill Level. 
    • Each Female Captain will be paired with a Male Coach of their choosing. The Male Coach will not be selected in the Draft Process.
    • The draft will 'snake' in order, with the order reversing every other round.
    • The players chosen will be announced live at the bar!
 
Draft League FAQ
Q: Do I have to be in attendance at the Draft to play this summer? 
A: No. Participation at the draft is encouraged, but not mandatory.  The more who show up, the more fun everyone will have!


Q: How many games will be played? 

A: We will have a (9) week season with (14) games played, *assuming (8) teams are formed.

 
Q: How will the captains be selected?
A: Once registration closes, the League Director will determine how many captains will be needed. The League Director will select captains from the available volunteers.
 
Q: Is trading allowed after the draft
A: No.
 
Q: I want to play with my significant other/friend. Can we be drafted together as a "package deal"? 
A: We won't be able to do package deals. If you'd like to be with a certain person, we will pass that info along to the captains.
 
Q: Why are we doing a draft league
A: Level Competition and Fun Social Atmosphere.
